Hello San Francisco After School Programs!
My name is DeAnn Tenhunfeld and I am the Curriculum Coordinator for the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. We are offering a classroom presentation or assembly to one San Francisco school featuring our newest curriculum, Bon a la Beef! We will do a drawing from all of the schools that respond to this email. Please read the following summary of our newest curriculum about Beef to learn more:
California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (CFAITC) is offering a classroom or after school presentation about beef using their newly completed resource, Bon a la Beef. The one hour presentation focuses on beef production, nutrition, and healthy eating. During the presentation, students are led through a lesson about beef, watch a cooking demonstration using beef, and receive free beef related resources. Educators will also receive free resources including the Bon a la Beef lesson plan, “Steer” towards
STEM: Careers in Animal Agriculture lesson plan, Beef Fact and Activity sheet, as well as many other beef and agriculture resources for teaching kids about agriculture.
California is the number one agriculture state in the nation and yet many Californians are unaware of this or even consider where their food comes from. The Bon a la Beef presentation along with all of the free resources from Ag in the Classroom are meant to further students’ understanding of how food gets from the farm where it was produced to their table.
If you are interested in the beef presentation, or have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com. Also, check out all of our free resources at http://www.LearnAboutAg.org. The resources are meant to be easy to use and introduce students to agriculture.
